His father was a key figure in the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen DP camps, while his mother was a survivor of a Polish concentration camp. These narratives of endurance and resilience greatly influenced David's upbringing and values from his early years in NY to his subsequent life in Los Angeles, where he moved at age nine.

He attended California State University, Northridge, where he pursued finance from 1980, eventually becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). This professional qualification laid the groundwork for his expansive career in structured finance, including significant contributions to affordable housing, blending his financial expertise with a commitment to social impact.

Throughout his career, David Rubin cdr has been instrumental in the development and management of over 2,200 units of affordable housing across the United States. His leadership in various housing development companies, including Enhanced Affordable Housing and EDJCO, a construction management firm, and his involvement in Accelfunding demonstrate his innovative approach to finance that seeks profitability and aims to enhance community welfare.

Moreover, David has been actively involved in environmental sustainability initiatives. He has invested in projects leveraging solar and battery investment tax credits, reflecting his dedication to sustainable development and his belief that financial investments can and should have positive environmental impacts.
